For as long as I can remember, keeping things in order was an important part of my life. I remember us moving into our parents first home. I had my own room finally at age 11 and I kept the closet so well organzied! Pants at one end..shirts at the other, then came color coordinating them! wow I was thrilled, so I am not surprised it’s what I wanted to do for a living, fo so long I helped bosses keep their offices running smoothly, setting up appointments, keeping calendar schedules running smoothly, sounds weird to some people who think there is more to life than keeping your self organized, as for me, i couldn’t survive without order in my life.
Now…on to some spring organizing!! Open those windows people and let the fresh air in!! :-) I would love to share some of my organizational tips with you all…write me and ask me your questions…tips on what products you can use for the spot you want to organize. Share with me your great ideas as well, what is working for you? what isn’t?
I hope we have many blogs ahead for us!

Hi all…
This is a great time to get yourself organized.
This time of year everyone is switching closets from summer to winter and getting ready for the holidays that always seem to come too quickly…here are some
Helpful Hints and Tips and a few Misconceptions to Keep You Organized
Myth #1
My home HAS to be clean to be organized:
There are many days my home could use a cleaning, dusting, vacuuming but I am still organized. People think if their home is dirty or messy that it isn’t organized.
Myth#2
Once I organize my closet, draw, or room it should stay that way:
Your closets and draws need attention a few times a year. the more you use that space the more attention it needs. Clothes closets need to be weeded out twice a year, when you change your wardrobe from summer to winter and then winter to summer.
This is a great time to get rid of the clothes you aren’t wearing.
Draws you use more frequently need to be weeded out more often.
Myth #3
I can do my bills anywhere.
create a spot where you can have some quiet time.
make sure you have stamps, letter opener, envelopes, pens etc.
keep a simple file draw or a file carry case and keep bills for only 1 year and tax papers for 6 years.
a simple file system is all you need to keep your bills under control.

Tips #1
If a room is overwhelming you and you don’t know where to start, start from the beginning. Empty the room and create bags or boxes. One to keep, one to toss one to give away or donate.
Then put back only items you are wanting to keep.
Tip #2
Create drop areas.
Front hall drop area for keys, shoes, coats, book bags. Once you have a spot for these items you will always know where they are.
Tip #3
make organizing your space fun.
pick a day and time to start our project .
make sure you have the right tools like boxes and bags to toss and store your items.
listen to some music that will keep you motivated
